50th Reunion Morse High School Class of 1958
Your Committee for the 50th
Reunion of Morse High School’s class of 1958 is very excited
about our 50th reunion celebration. It is our greatest desire to have a
reunion of all of the classmates and graduates of the class of 1958.
Our major focus will be to have all of you here to celebrate and
reminisce with us.
Nineteen classmates met on
September 20th at the Alumni Room. The schedule of events for the
weekend were discussed at length. Our President Beezie came from NY to
conduct the meeting. It was hard to contain the ideas,
suggestions and overall enthusiasm that was generated by these 19
people. We know we are going to take a great trip down memory lane and
we look forward to reminiscing with each of you. The next meeting is
October 25, 6:00, in the Morse Alumni Room. All are welcome.
We would like to bring you
up-to-date on the events that are planned and ask that you give us any
input you feel might be helpful. A questionnaire
is enclosed to help the Year Book Committee put together a booklet
scanning the years. Your quick response, with added photos, both old
and new would be appreciated.
The efforts of the class of 1957
was brought up to remind us of all that is required to run The Golf
Classic. The proceeds from this event, that is sponsored by
the 50th Reunion Class, benefits the MHS Scholarship Fund. It is
a tremendous job taking a full year of planning and a minimum of 30
volunteers. Chuggie Pierce, Dan Snow and David Kaler head up this
committee. Please call them if you would like to help with or play in
the tournament. It is a fun day. Chuggie: 207-522-4160 email 65wiskeag@suscom-maine.net
Some of you have asked us to address the area of dues and pledges as some classmates are or were not aware of this.
At our 40th reunion meeting the
class voted to initiate voluntary class dues of $25.00 a year for the
next five years. At the 45th reunion meeting the class voted to
continue this request for the next five years. Most of you have been
faithful to this request. Some have given pledges beyond the
dues. We do not have an amount goal that we are working toward.
Our major focus is on getting as many of you to join us for this once
in a lifetime occasion.
Help us to gather all our alumni
together by contacting your high school buddies. Get the gang together
and attend your only 50th high school reunion. We promise “It
Will Be A Great Time.”
A tentative schedule of events is enclosed.
